I have this friend who has been in

I have this friend who has been in a relationship with an older woman since Dec. he has been cheating on her since June. He has told me that he sees the other woman at least once or twice a week. And he recently moved in with his girl friend. He has also told me that he is happy with his girl but not their situation. (Whatever that is). But he doesn't want to let go of the other woman.
My question is.....how can the GF not know he has been cheating in her? I know when I was cheated on I had a gut feeling.
